Bulgarian trade unions consider holding protests, including civil disobedience

Bulgarian trade unions are considering holding protests, including civil disobedience, Plamen Dimitrov, President of Confederation of Independent Trade Unions in Bulgaria, told journalists after a meeting about pension reform with Bulgarian President Georgi Parvanov, FOCUS News Agency reported.
He noted the two trade unions, Podkrepa Confederation of Labor and Confederation of Independent Trade Unions in Bulgaria, did not have any disagreements.
If the parliament disregards Georgi Parvanov’s veto on the retirement age rise, the trade unions will decide when and where their protests will take place.
